Khait Parvat

Khait Parvat is a famous mountain situated in Ghansali in the Tehri district of Uttarakhand state. Khait Parvat is also known as “Country of Fairies”. It is said that here the fairies place of residence. Khait Parvat is at a height of about 10500 ft. above sea level.
You can reach Khait Parvat can be reached from Musankiri village after a 5 km trek, and Musankiri village is about 25 km away from Ghansali. Khait Parvat offers beautiful views of Mandar valley and some Himalayan ranges also seen from here.The Khat Khal Temple, built on the Khat Mountains in the Garhwal region, Tehri District of Uttarakhand, is considered to be the main abode of the apsaras or fairies. Nine goddesses are believed to inhabit the nine ranges of the Khat Mountains. It is believed that the nine sisters are nine sisters, who still live here as invisible powers. In the Garhwal region, the deities are known as Achhari-Mantari and people here believe that there are fairies on this mountain. The person who likes these nymphs, after taking them unconsciously takes them to their own locality where the human being is not able to return.
